Coat: The Airedale Terrier has a dense, hard, wiry outer coat with a shorter, softer undercoat. The color should be tan with a black or grizzle (black hairs mixed with grey and white) saddle.
Care: Airedale Terriers do not shed heavily, but do require brushing several times a week
Characteristics: The Airedale Terrier is a loyal, yet stubborn dog. Airedale Terriers are intelligent and playful. They do not bark much. Airedale Terriers are courageous, but can be a bit too curious at times.
Temperament: The Airedale Terrier is generally good with children, and other pets, but may have a tendency to chase smaller animals, and dominate other dogs. The Airedale Terrier is a highly intelligent dog, making him stubborn at times.
Training: The Airedale Terrier is a quick learner, but requires variety in training so it does not get bored.

Health Concerns: hip dysplasia, dermatitis, and gastric torsion (bloat)
